ATTENTION! If you have photophobia or you are sensitive to flashing or blinding lights, some areas and attractions might not be for you.

Abyss Wall

The Abyss Wall might look like a simple display occupying a small portion of the wall to your right as you enter the museum. I noticed that most visitors missed or overlooked this spot, but I couldn’t fault them because it honestly looked empty. Void.

Abyss Wall Space and Time Cube

But that’s the point. Once you pay attention, it will suck you into the abyss, working like a vacuum. Staring at it, I felt uneasy. Do you know that feeling when you want to figure out something but cannot grasp it, no matter how hard you try? That kind of feeling. The abyss stared back at me. I had to pull away.

Wandering Planets

Wandering Planets Space and Time Cube

So, I hurriedly turned around and wandered into another space. The Wandering Planets exhibit transported Mariah and me into an endless galaxy filled with colorful displays resembling planets, along with a large LED sphere installation in the center. It was mesmerizing! The feeling of wonder was magnified as the mirrors reflected the multicolored lights.

Space & Time Realm

Space & Time Realm

We then strolled into the Space & Time Realm, where visuals are reflected on all four sides of the wall and the floor. It produced an immersive experience that challenged our concept of space and time. It really felt like we were going on an adventure, traveling to different places, across different times.

Holographic Glasshouse

Holographic Glasshouse Space and Time Cube

The Holographic Glasshouse blurs the line between outdoor and indoor spaces by using four-sided screen projection. In addition to visuals, it also includes sound to enhance your experience, whether you’re viewing it from the outside or immersing yourself in the display inside the glasshouse.

Mirror Maze

The entrance to the Mirror Maze is pretty unassuming, which is probably why only a few people venture further inside and try to find their way out of the tricky yet enjoyable maze.

Mirror Maze Space and Time Cube

At first glance, Mariah and I just saw a small opening with mirrors that create the illusion of a long passageway. We then started taking more steps and found ourselves going further into the room, eventually getting so confused and lost! We kept making wrong turns and knocking against mirror walls. But after a few minutes, we managed to find the exit. Haha! All in all, we had fun!

Crystal Matrix

Now, this one bedazzled me! The Crystal Matrix room is covered in mirrors on the walls, ceiling, and floor. The centerpiece is a collection of hanging crystal LED strips that create the illusion of cascading water, Banyan tree vines, or Willow tree leaves. But that’s just me. The imagery varies depending on the imagination of the spectator. So what will it be for you?

By the way, you can also control the lights using the provided QR code at the entrance to the room.

The Crystal Matrix is a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. Taking photos and videos might be challenging, too.

Dance Cube

Don’t be intimidated by the name if you’re not good at dancing or lacking in rhythm. The Dance Cube is more like a modern stepping-stone game with eight levels of difficulty. The “stones” are the pixel-like squares. You only need to take note of three colors: Blue, Red, and Green.

Dance Cube Space and Time Cube

No matter which level of difficulty you choose, you need to step on the blue-colored squares to score and avoid the red ones. The green squares are the safe zones. You don’t need to be a good dancer, but you do need to have speed, presence of mind, and quick feet!

Underwater Pool

Underwater Pool Space and Time Cube

If you’re looking to capture a “very demure, very relaxed, and very cool” photo of yourself underwater without actually getting wet, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. The Underwater Pool setup gives the illusion of being submerged in a pool while you stay comfortably dry. Just have a friend take your photos from above while you strike a pose below. No need to worry about holding your breath — just relax and go with the flow!

Optical Illusion Rooms and Set-Ups

We briefly passed by the Infinite Train before reaching the fun and quirky optical illusion rooms and physical installations. Occupying the hallway leading to the next attraction, it appeared as if we were strolling along a moving train’s aisle. One side has passenger chairs and windows overlooking the scenery.

We got off the train and prepared to have our world turned upside down — and at one time, have a skewed view of the world when we stepped into the Upside Down Staircase, Upside Down Room, and the Tilted Room!

We had so much fun playing around with the optical illusions – just take a look at how happy we were!

Space & Time Tunnel

Space and Time Tunnel

Step into the Space & Time Tunnel and be transported into different worlds and eras. With its high-definition LED screens and advanced naked-eye 3D technology, it makes traveling from the Jurassic Era to ancient civilizations to as far as the galaxy possible! Take in fascinating visual effects and scenes as you journey through time and space.

Augmented Reality Displays and Exhibits

Near the end of our immersive journey, we didn’t pass up the chance to try out various interactive digital displays and exhibits, including some fun Augmented Reality motion games or AR motion games. We took a shot at Prehistoric Hunting, examined the Archeological Sand Pool, and even battled aliens!

AR Motion Games Space and Time Cube

Before wrapping up our adventure, we left our digital footprints, or should I say digital fish, on the Fantasy Graffiti. This is a large projection wall where physical drawings are turned into dynamic virtual animations using image capture technology. It was thrilling to see our drawings come to life!

Space and Time Cube Museum

And that’s a wrap! We didn’t get to experience the Rail Cinema, so we have no idea what it’s like. We’d love to hear about your experience if you’ve tried it. Let us know in the comments!
