Romblon is the ideal destination for those who want to enjoy beautiful beaches. One of the places to add to your itinerary while on this island is Bonbon Beach. It has fine white sand, clear cool waters, swaying trees, and a beautiful sunset. It is also easily accessible by public transportation or by motorcycle from the town.

How to Get There
Nearest Airport: Tugdan Airport (Romblon)
By Air
- There are now direct flights from Manila to Tablas, Romblon.
- Once at the airport, catch a jeep that travels to San Agustin for the boat trips to Romblon, Romblon.
- Bonbon Beach is accessible via the main road from Romblon town. There are many tricycles that pass by it; just tell the driver you’d alight at Bonbon.
By Sea
- Board a Batangas Port-bound bus for around P130/way.
- Once at the port, book a ticket bound for Romblon, Romblon; be specific as there are also overnight ferries that travel to other parts of the province. The fare varies from P850 to P1530 per person, depending on the class of the ticket and the shipping line. There is also a terminal fee of P30.
- Bonbon Beach is accessible via the main road from Romblon town. There are many tricycles that pass by it; just tell the driver you’d alight at Bonbon.
The trip takes approximately 8 to 12 hours depending on the shipping company and if it will stop at Odiongan or not.

- You can also play Frisbee and beach volleyball during your stay.
- This is also a good place to watch the sunset. With no concrete structures, lampposts, electrical posts, or trees that will obstruct your view.

- The town of Romblon, Romblon is your jump-off point to Bonbon; this is where you can withdraw cash for your trip and buy snacks and drinks for a picnic on the beach, but always leave no trace of trash.
If You Have More Time and Budget
- If you have more time in Romblon, go to Tablas Island and go for another round of beach hopping, swimming, and bumming in Aglicay Resort and Binucot Beach.
- You can also go to Sibuyan Island for Cresta de Gallo and/or go hike up Mt. Guiting-Guiting.
- Also, there are other interesting destinations in Romblon, Romblon such as Fort San Andres, the marble factories and shops, and St. Joseph’s Church.
