Quezon is a popular destination because of its proximity to Manila and other cities in the south. Many city dwellers visit the province to go beach bumming, swimming, and other related activities. The region and some of its beaches are easily accessible by public or private transportation.

If you plan to visit Cagbalete Island, look for a resort in or at least near Mauban. The beach is beautiful, with clear waters and a sandbar, which you can see fully during the right time of day.

The islands of Borawan and Dampalitan are popular weekend destinations in Padre Burgos. You can spend the night camping or do it as a day trip from the resort of your choice in town, on the island, or other places in the province. Despite the development and popularity of both places, they still have some of their natural charms. If you’re spending the night, don’t miss the beautiful sunrise and sunset.

Alibijaban Island in San Andres may take a while to get to (around 9-10 hours by land and sea) but is rewarding once you get to it. The white sand beach, mangroves, and clear waters make for a picturesque scene.

Another beach to check out in this province is Puting Buhangin (White Beach in English). It has fair sand, cerulean waters, and a small underwater cave, which you can wade or swim to depending on the tide.

Other than the beaches, you can visit some of the historical attractions in Quezon before returning to Manila. You’ll see old houses and churches in Sariaya, Tayabas, Lucban, and other places. You can also experience Pahiyas Festival if you visit during the right month.

Quezon is a big province that has plenty of resorts that are walking distance or a short ride away from the beach. You’ll have several options, depending on where you want to go. You’re likely to find more options in bigger towns.
