A few years ago, Subic was one of the go-to destinations of weekend warriors from Manila. That’s not to say that Subic isn’t a destination worth visiting anymore. Despite the many new destinations that have gotten the attention of tourists in recent years, Subic still has its charms.
Also known as the Subic Economic and Freeport Zone or Subic Bay, Subic encompasses a part of Olongapo City and the town of Subic in Zambales. Its proximity to Metro Manila is one of the reasons why it became a go-to destination for those looking for a quick escape from the city life. But apart from that, Subic also has plenty of things to offer to its visitors. Great resorts and beaches await you here. And as a bonus, there are various shopping outlets here!
Nowadays, aside from beach bumming and getting some retail therapy, Subic has more attractions for different types of travelers. If you’re traveling with family, there are theme parks and adventure parks to visit. For nature lovers, you can go on guided treks and jungle survival tours. Meanwhile, adrenaline junkies will have field day with extreme water sports and wreck diving.
If you’re considering making a trip to Subic, it is also possible to take a bus from Manila to get there. Here are the Manila to Subic Bus Schedules from reputable bus operators and their respective fares.
