Don’t Miss

  • Sunset! Boracay sunset is one of the best in the country. Most images you’ll see were taken along White Beach. The silhouettes of paraw sailboats against the fiery sunset add character to the natural spectacle.
  • D’Mall. Check out souvenirs, food spots, and other essentials at D’Mall, Boracay’s open-air commercial area located along Station 2.
  • Willy’s Rock. This is one of the recognizable landmarks here. Cradling a statue of the Virgin Mary, the rocky islet sits on a shallow portion of the shore along White Beach’s Station 1.
  • The art of doing nothing. Find your spot — under the shade of a coconut tree or at one of the beachfront cafés or restaurants — and take in the tropical vibe. Cool down with your favorite drink, enjoy a hearty meal or snack, go people-watching, or simply chill.
  • Explore. White Beach is extensive! It stretches about four (4) kilometers on the western portion of Boracay Island. Walk from the northernmost end (Station 1) to the southernmost point (Station 3). Discover each station’s distinct character and aura.
  • Photo sessions. Come on! In this day and age, documenting your travels or even your every day life is very prevalent. So, savor this moment, and then save all the fun memories; take as many photos (and videos) as you can!
  • Water activities. You’ll find plenty of exciting activities to try and experience here: parasailing, paraw sailing, stand-up paddling, kayaking, and the list goes on. You can also have your Magazine-worthy photos taken while in a crystal kayak — strike a pose!
  • Island hopping. As mentioned earlier, White Beach is your spring board to other beaches and islands in Boracay. Tour boats pick up passengers at Stations 1 and 3.

Don’t Forget

  • Boracay is one of the most developed tourist destinations in the country. You won’t have a difficult time getting cash, accommodation across budgets, transportation, and types of food to eat.
  • Bring sun protection, especially during summer when it’s scorching hot. Pack your sunglasses, hats, rash guard, environment-friendly sunscreen, umbrella, or anything you think you need to protect yourself from the harmful UV rays.
  • Load your own gear if you are planning to go snorkeling and scuba diving. That is, if you don’t want to rent and you’re okay with having extra baggage.
  • Be mindful of your belongings. You are responsible for your own stuff, so don’t leave your things unattended and always secure your valuables.
  • Be a responsible traveler/tourist. Respect other people’s time and space. Also, keep in mind the “Leave No Trace” principle: leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photos, and kill nothing but time. Another thing is to observe proper garbage disposal; bring your trash with you if there’s no trash bin.

If You Have More Time and Budget

  • Aside from White Beach, you can also relax and unwind at Puka Beach.
  • If you have an adventurous bone in your body, try kitesurfing or windsurfing at Bulabog Beach.
  • Book a tour to Ariel’s Point and go cliff diving and mingle with other sun revelers.
  • Aside from scuba diving and snorkeling, you can also do helmet diving. Check the terms and requirements — age, existing medical conditions, etc.
  • If you have a bit more time, explore the attractions of nearby provinces such as Capiz, Antique, Iloilo, and Romblon.

Where to Stay in Boracay

White Beach is considered the tourist hub on the island. It is lined with different types of lodging and businesses. The long stretch is divided into three stations: Station 1, Station 2, and Station 3. Station 1 hosts some high-end resorts and generally has fewer crowds. Station 2 is the busiest area and has the highest concentration of hotels and commercial establishments. Finally, Station 3 is known for its laid-back atmosphere and budget accommodations.
